I love this secret room behind the bookcase! Even though it’s clearly built for a child, I want to crawl in there myself and spend time doing puzzles and painting. A private space to call one’s own is sometimes all a child needs.

There were countless times as a child where I played house with my friends. We would imagine all kinds of scenarios, each one of us taking on a specific role in the household. While we constructed adequate homes out of cardboard and paint, having a great space like this quaint cottage would have made our role play so much more fun!
