15 Modern Chairs You’d Hate to Sit On
Unless you’re vertically challenged or from another planet, the Womb Chair may be an uncomfortably tight squeeze!
This not so modern chair can be found in the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI. Made by John Vine of Fayette, OH, it was fashioned after similar chairs at the Louisiana Purchase Exposition in St. Louis 1904. Made mainly out of steer horns, I can’t imagine relaxing and watching T.V. in this chair.
Bench of Thought
A book lover’s dream, the Bench of Thought is made by artist Álvaro Tamarit out of reclaimed books, wood and varnish.
This alien design could be a tight squeeze for anyone with shoulders.
Hand Foot Chair
This surreal modern chair created by Mexico City based designer Pedro Friedeberg is a much better conversation piece than a seat.
